2010 Lake Pflugerville Tri is in the books!
Yesterday, I did the Lake Pflugerville tri, in — you guessed it — Pflugerville, which is just north of Austin.
I am pleased to report that the IronMonth Challenge paid off by providing me with some good base training this spring, so I felt really good at the race yesterday! I improved upon my time from the last time I did this race, which was two years ago, mainly with a faster run.
The race was well-organized, and a lot of fun. I think that there were some first-timers out there, as well as seasoned veterans. The below photo gave me an idea for a future article or blog post: transition area dos and don’ts. The little tiny rectangle of towel with gear on it toward the upper portion of the photo is my transition area, and the massive beach towel layout belonged to the woman next to me. Sometimes a picture IS worth a thousand words.
